No cloths and no boiling it is fast and convenient

or conventional oven and cold with wine and cheese.
For true decadence it can be cubed and double dipped

and long shelf life, it is available all year round
and is handmade from 100% Australian produce.
Tiggies new plum puddings Company Profile
Portofino Restaurant was established in August 1992
by John & Amanda Hayes in the seaside town of Port
Fairy. It was there that they developed the new Plum
Pudding. After running a successful restaurant for eight
years it was decided the new Plum Puddings would become
the business focus for the future. After many months
of product research in Australia and overseas Tiggies
Restaurant and Plum Puddings was set up in Buninyong
in 2000.
The Plum Pudding has proven to be a very popular inclusion
not only on the Tiggies menu but for many other restaurants,
cafes and delis to which it is supplied throughout the
year. The puddings have been displayed at the Age Harvest
Picnics at Hanging Rock and Werribee, Taste of Victoria
at Flemington, and the Melbourne Fine Food Show. The
latter proved to be where industry people in both Australia
and Asia showed most interest.
Tiggies Plum Puddings are currently supplied to delis,
cafes, restaurants, corporate gift hamper companies
and function centres throughout Victoria and interstate.
The already substantial interest in Tiggies Plum Puddings
continues to grow in local, interstate and overseas
wholesale and trade markets. Market demand has influenced
Tiggies growth and rapid expansion resulting in exciting
and innovative changes to the promotion of Tiggies Plum
Puddings.
We are enthusiastic and excited with the possibilities
and opportunities being presented to the company at
the present time. Ultimately we envisage Tiggies Plum
Puddings as a household name. This year we will be attending
food shows in Australia and overseas that cater for
both the retail and trade markets. We are continually
searching the gourmet market for avenues through which
to promote and sell the Puddings and enjoy the ongoing
personal involvement with our buyers.
Tiggies is a young company with a fresh attitude to
Plum Pudding production that fills a niche in today's
modern food industry.

Sales Review
At the end of 2001 Begonia foods and Peter Janes foods
took on Tiggies Plum Puddings, distributing to the Bellarine
Peninsula and Western Victoria. We then took it upon
ourselves to personally promote the Puddings throughout
Melbourne and district areas in 2002. Developments resulting
from the 2002 Melbourne Fine Food Show have led us to
currently provide to six wholesale distributors, including
G and K fine foods and Bidvest/John Lewis food service.
These business dealings have seen a 500% increase in
sales from the previous year. We predict 2003 to be
a year of even further growth with more wholesale outlets
and exclusive retail stores.
